As a quick WIP personal project, I looked at the Dublin Pride festival logo used in 2022, and how it compares to other city identities. Most pride cities have an 'all-year-round' presence in society and not just the pride month of June. An example of this can be seen in the recent London Pride and New York Pride design revisions where they add emphasis on the organisation's work outside of the festival times.
This was the jumping-off point to redesign the Dublin Pride logo. Something that can be used at any time of the year, and in various social activities connecting the pride movement. It's a quick 'what if' and what could be done and how they could be applied in a real-world environment. All images/illustrations used are the property of their respective owners and are used here for reference. This project is not linked, endorsed, sponsored, or sanctioned in any other way by Dublin Pride, or any of the associations that may appear here and all images are used for reference only. A collection of papercraft open-top buses, that you can make yourself can also be found here.
